Cape Tech Preschool
Thank you for your interest in Cape Cod Tech (CCT) Preschool! CCT Preschool, an accredited program by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is a laboratory preschool where high school students receive training in teaching and working with young children. Our preschool curriculum focuses on offering children ages 3 – 5 years old learning experiences in all developmental areas….physical, social, emotional and intellectual. The classroom and schedule are arranged to provide children with ample time to interact with the materials and each other. Circle time is offered for whole-group music and movement activities as well as listening to stories. Table time involves more teacher-directed learning opportunities including literacy and math activities. Lunch and rest times are offered if parents so choose.

If you are interested in having your child attend our preschool, please complete and return the application form. This should hold an enrollment spot for your child. We also recommend a visit to CCT Preschool. You are welcome to contact us at any time to set up an appointment to observe.
Please be aware that CCT Preschool is open Tuesday – Friday and follows the school calendar, thus observing holidays and school vacations. In addition, because we are teaching high school students, there are additional closures that need to occur during the year. These include CPR/First Aid training and opening the program a week later and closing a week earlier than the calendar specifies. We will keep you informed in advance of these particular dates.
We ask parents to commit their child to a particular attendance schedule throughout the year. As the year progresses and there are enrollment slots available, parents may add additional time to their child’s schedule. However, the additional time can not be added on a per diem basis, but will need to be a permanent change. Although we would love to accommodate our parent’s daily needs, we are fearful that too much inconsistency would lead to organizational and accounting difficulties. Thank you for your understanding.
Children staying until 1:30 will need to bring a lunch to the program. We do have a microwave oven so children’s food can be warmed, if needed. We provide a daily snack for the children in the morning.
Children staying until 2:30 have a rest time. A cot is provided for each child. Parents are asked to supply a blanket and any other “comfy” items the child may need. Please label those items with the child’s name. Those items can be brought home at the end of the week for washing.
