The instructor, a graphic design and photography teacher will instruct you in how to use Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.0 and to enhance the pictures you take with your digital camera. This course will combine the simplicity and power of the program, so you can have fun and do more with your photos. You will learn how to fix flaws, adjust color, and adjust lighting. You will also learn how to customize your photos and show off your creativity. You will earn how to store and show all of your digital pictures. Basic computer skills are a must for this

Adobe Photoshop Elements II

Content: Go beyond Photoshop Elements 9.0 basics! These classes are designed to teach participants to further improve digital images through photo-retouching, color correction, sharpening, digital enhancement, selection essentials, layers, and filters. The instructor, a graphic design and photography teacher, will help you learn more sophisticated Photoshop tools and techniques in a state of the art computer classroom. Prerequisite: Photoshop Elements I or equivalent background.

Introduction to Digital Photography

Content: Designed for the beginner, this course will help you develop a basic understanding of digital cameras, as well as provide many practical tips on how to get good results from your camera. Students should bring their camera (compact or single lens reflex) and camera manual to class. Topics to be covered include how digital cameras work, memory cards, features and benefits of currently available digital cameras, use of manual and automatic modes, lighting and composition, capturing motion and how to organize, access and back up images in a computer. We will also review some common mistakes made by amateur digital photographers and how to avoid these. Printing and displaying options will be briefly reviewed.
