At the November 9, 2016 School Building Committee Meeting, committee members came to consensus on criteria they will utilize to assess the renovation and new preferred solution alternatives presented at the October meeting by the designer Drummey, Rosane and Anderson. The following criteria are listed in order of importance: Educational Opportunities/ Compliance with Vision/ Program Accommodation Construction Cost/Project Cost Impact on Students & Staff / Impact on Student Enrollment/ Disruption/ Phasing/ Construction Duration Reimbursable Cost / Operating Cost/Temporary Costs / Cost Certainty / Predictability Safety/ Access Control /Traffic Impacts / Vehicle and Pedestrian Circulation Contextual Fit/ Aesthetics/ Flexibility/ Potential for Expansion Impact on Abutters / Environmental Impacts The committee will assess the seven alternatives under consideration with these criteria at their meeting on November 30, 2016 which will culminate in the selction of a preferred building solution for Cape Cod Tech.
