Graphic Arts Students Win Top Art Awards

27 January 2012 – Graphic Arts students at Cape Cod Regional Technical High School competed against more than 14,000 art submissions by students in grades 7 through 12 from across Massachusetts to win top honors in the annual Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards. The competition's most prominent prize, the Gold Key award, was given to only 609 students including Sean Dzenawagis of Marstons Mills.

Dzenawagis also earned one of only 841 Silver Key awards along with Natasha Tsoleridis of Harwich, while Meghan Ruby of South Yarmouth earned one of 1,675 Honorable Mention awards. The Awards Ceremonies for this year's Gold Key and Silver Key winners will be held Sunday, March 11, 2012 at the John Hancock Hall in Boston. 

Gold and Silver Key winning artworks will be on display at the State Transportation Building, 10 Park Plaza in Boston from Monday, February 13 through Friday, April 20, 2012.  The exhibit will be open Weekdays - 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. including holidays and Saturdays & Sundays - 12:00 noon - 4:00 p.m. School groups of more than six students need to arrange for a scheduled exhibit visit time on weekdays.  Call 617-973-7290 to arrange a group visit time.
