School Nurse

The primary role of the School Nurse is to provide services that support student success by helping keep students safe, healthy, in school and ready to learn. All students are screened for audiovisual checks, heights, weights, blood pressure and health interviews. The ninth grade class is also screened for scoliosis.
The School Nurse is always available during the school day and provides a wide range of health services including medication administration, vision and hearing screening, emergency care for ill or injured students, individual health counseling, assessment and referral for students with mental health needs, and monitoring of students with health concerns.
