ASVAB Info:
The ASVAB (Armed Service Vocational Aptitude Battery) is offered at Cape Cod Tech each year in the fall. If you wish to take the test at another time, it is offered weekly at the Armed Service Recruiting Office in Hyannis. Talk to your recruiter to schedule an appointment. Students under the age of 18 need to have parental approval to sign up for the exam. See Ms. Rodricks in Guidance to sign up to take ASVAB on November 19 2009.
Special Programs
The College Connection Program
We are pleased to be a part of the College Connection Program with Cape Cod Community College this year. All seniors will be offered enrollment management services and academic resources on site at Cape Cod Tech. Services include application assistance, admission interview, academic advising, course registration and assistance completing financial aid forms (FAFSA). Students participating in College Connection are not obligated to attend Cape Cod Community College. For more information, go to www.capecod.edu/CCP
Career Cruising
Throughout the year, all counselors are using Career Cruising software to assist students with developing Career Plans. Students are able to take assessments, research careers, develop educational goals as well as conduct a complete college search using this program. Students and parents may log onto Career Cruising anytime. Access does require a password that students have been given. Parents may contact their child’s counselor for more information. www.careercruising.com
