• Attention parents of juniors and seniors (and interested sophomores):

The ASVAB is being offered on November 21st, 2017 from 8:15-11:00 am in the conference room at CCT.

    What is the ASVAB?

The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) is a multiple-aptitude battery most widely used in the world that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success.  By taking the ASVAB, the student is automatically a participant in The ASVAB Career Exploration Program. The Program offers an interest inventory and other activities designed to help students explore the world of work and gain confidence in making career decisions.

The ASVAB Program is aimed at students in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades, as well as students in post secondary schools. Results of the aptitude test and the interest inventory enable students to evaluate their skills, estimate their performance in academic and vocational endeavors, and identify potentially satisfying careers

The ASVAB also is used as an entrance exam for the military. The results determine jobs within each branch of the military that a student is qualified for. The results will be discussed with a representative from ASVAB once they are returned to the school.
