To All,Last night was a great event. I want to congratulate everyone. It was a unique experience that will always go down as one of my favorite graduations. Below are links to several videos of the event. We also have the winners of the cap contest. I am planning on making a slide show of all the contestants that will be posted here later.
I want folks to know, the streamed event is tough to watch the actual video. It was meant to give a sense like you were watching from your car, so the screen is not the focus. Its the horn honks, the flashing of lights, the "wahoos," and the joyous laughter of children (our grads) as they officially become adults that you needed to see, hear and feel to be part of this event. I have shared the actual video in case you want to re-watch it with family.
Again a great job to Elly, Henry, and Mark. They did a wonderful job with their speeches. Mr. Mark, thank you. Thank you fo the speech, thank you for the years of service, thank you for being so kind and generous to all students from Cape Cod Tech. You are a true friend. A big thank you to Mr. Vincent and his staff who donated the facility and made the night possible. You have a special place in the Cape Cod Tech Community. I also want to thank a few others who made it all possible. Ms. Davis and Ms. Knight amazing work organizing the event, Ms. Leiwicki for always saying, "Yeah, we can do that;" Mr. Mark for printing, re-printing, and re-re-printing everything while they were literally closing down the building and moving machines and equipment out of DVC; Mr. Mollis, Mr. Burke, Ms. Smith and the rest of the maintenance crew amazing work on setup and help make a crazy plan come fruition; Mr. Steven Cass for putting together an amazing production for our graduates, CCT staff, faculty and admin who all contributed ensuring our graduates had a personal celebration that truly honored them and finally to the parents, guardians, and graduates for having faith and trust in us that we would do your graduation justice.
Sincerely,
Mr. T

Less than a week away. Thursday's weather looks perfect, 70's and partly cloudy (better for outdoor movie watching). Things have really come together. I am looking forward to the event, and I hope you are as well.
I want to remind everyone that we will have a mandatory Parent and Student Virtual Zoom Graduation Practice on Tuesday, June 2nd. An invite will be sent out on June 2nd. All students attending graduation are expected to participate. This is essential for understanding how the night will work, so it is important that either the graduate or a parent or guardian attends. We will send an invite to all students and all parents that received this email. I want to let folk know that we ar threading the needle on parameters and regulations mandated by the state for Drive-Ins and the DESE for graduation ceremonies. We must follow these guidelines. Being one of the earlier graduations, many eyes will be one us to see how it goes. I know we will be a model for the state, and a standard on how people can celebrate their graduates safely.
The festivities for graduation actually begin earlier in the day. Shepley Wood had orchestrated a Cape Wide Graduation Fly Over. The flight plans are below. (I tried to get them to flyby the drive-in around 7:30 but no luck...)If you do plan on watching it, please remember social distancing, wear your mask, and keep safe. I am not sure how many cars can meet in our parking lot. Right now it kind of looks like the moon's surface. If students want to meet at the Park and Ride, that may be fine. I will scout it out and let folks know in the grad virtual practice on Tuesday.
Also, I would plan on leaving early for Wellfleet Drive-In. Traffic can build up on Route 6 so please be mindful of that. There are several take out restaurants in the area to grab a bite to eat if you want to get to Wellfleet early.
Thank you,
Mr. Terranova
This virtual meeting is essential for understanding how the graduation ceremony will work, so it is important that either the graduate and/or a parent or guardian attend. We will send an invite to all students and all parents that received this email.
Any graduate, their family, school personnel, and others who may attend who may be feeling sick, are exhibiting any of the following symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell), or have potentially been exposed to someone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19, they should not attend the graduation ceremony. A potential exposure means having household contact or having close contact (within 6 feet) with an individual with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 for a prolonged period of time (over 15 minutes) while the person is symptomatic or 48 hours before symptoms developed.
Persons who are particularly vulnerable to COVID-19 according to the Centers for Disease Control (e.g., due to age or underlying conditions) should be discouraged from attending the graduation ceremony.
Attendance must be limited to graduates and their immediate family members only. Families have been signed up in advance of the graduation, and only those who have tickets may attend. Children under the age of 5, older adults, and those with vulnerable health conditions should be discouraged from attending.
