Health Technology
Cape Cod Tech’s Health Technologies Program introduces students to a broad range of healthcare careers and can help turn your caring nature into a rewarding career. As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and/or Home Health Aide (HHA), you will develop interpersonal, technical, and critical thinking skills in the classroom, laboratory, and through clinical experiences. Upon completing your clinical hours at a long term care facility during your Junior year, you’ll be prepared to sit for the state Certified Nursing Assistant exam. The passage of this exam is required to work as a Certified Nurse Assistant in the state of Massachusetts. In addition to learning technical skills, students pursue a specialized academic program that includes anatomy and physiology, as well as chemistry. A continuous demand exists for skilled healthcare professionals nationwide. Graduating will qualify you for a variety of entry-level positions and with further education, advanced health care professions await involving even greater challenges, responsibilities, and gratification.
