Learning to develop an active and healthy lifestyle is an integral component of secondary education. Cape Cod Tech combines classroom wellness instruction with active physical education to provide a well-rounded program for our students. Physical Education includes Lifetime Sports, Team Sports and Weight Training and Conditioning. Wellness includes Cardiovascular Health, Nutrition and Musculoskeletal Fitness. Students also learn about the effects of tobacco, alcohol and drug use. In the upper grades, in Health Education classes, students study issues related to sexuality, chronic health issues, health risk assessment and management and consumer health issues. The goal for the program is to provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to make choices that will have a positive impact on their health and well being.
